The 3rd ETSI OpenOP Plenary Meeting successfully concluded at the Intracom Telecom premises in Athens, bringing together the growing OpenOP community to review the project’s latest achievements and define its next strategic steps.
One of the key outcomes of the plenary was the evolution of the OpenOP vision beyond a cloud-native Operator Platform towards AI-native and Data-native Telco Cloud ecosystems. This transformation is being significantly enabled by the innovations contributed by the 6G-DALI project.
As the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) Flagship initiative on 6G AI and Data, 6G-DALI is contributing advanced DataOps and Dataspace technologies to the new OpenOP Data Lab module. These technologies enable trusted data discovery, data curation, quality assurance, data governance, and the sovereign sharing of datasets and AI models across federated telecom infrastructures.
By integrating these capabilities into the OpenOP open-source ecosystem, 6G-DALI is helping establish the foundations for the next generation of intelligent telecom platforms, where AI, data, cloud, and network services converge within an open, interoperable, and federated ecosystem.
