The latest OpenOP Hackfest provided an excellent opportunity to explore the newly introduced Data Lab Module Development Group (MDG), built upon contributions from 6G-DALI, the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) Flagship Project on 6G AI and Data.
During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to experience how OpenOP is evolving towards a data- and AI-driven Operator Platform, enabling datasets, AI models and analytics services to be discovered, shared and consumed across federated environments.
The hands-on activities focused on:
- Deploying and exploring the Data Lab in a local environment.
- Discovering and consuming datasets and AI models.
- Experimenting with IDSA-compliant Dataspace-enabled, policy-governed asset exchange.
- Executing 6G-DALI DataOps pipelines for data transformation and AI-ready dataset preparation.
The Hackfest demonstrated how research outcomes can move beyond conceptual development and evolve into open-source, reusable and interoperable technologies that benefit the broader telecommunications community.
6G-DALI is proud to contribute to this evolution, supporting the development of practical, collaborative solutions that accelerate the adoption of AI- and data-driven technologies for next-generation networks.
