On Monday, 9 March, the SMARTECH research group of ISI/ATHENA had the pleasure of hosting students from the Vocational High School of Aigio at the CEID – Computer Engineering and Informatics Department, University of Patras. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to engage with students from the field of Computer Science and discuss the future of technology.
Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn highlighted the strong potential of the next generation to actively contribute to shaping the digital world. During the visit, students were introduced to the research activities of the team and had the opportunity to learn about the SNS JU projects in which SMARTECH participates and leads, including 6G-DALI.
They also explored how next-generation networks and Artificial Intelligence can support innovative applications, while experiencing an interactive VR demonstration. Initiatives like this offer an important opportunity to bring students closer to research, innovation, and the wide range of possibilities that the field of computing offers.
