INTRACOM-TELECOM presented OpenOP, the new ETSI Software Development Group (SDG) dedicated to the Open-Source Operator Platform for TelcoCloud. OpenOP was established within the framework of the EU-funded SUNRISE-6G project. The presentation took place during the roundtable at the INSTAR Standards event, where collaboration topics between the EU, Korea, and Japan were discussed in the field of 6G standardization and innovation. During the event, the shared vision for the design of AI-native, open, scalable, and interoperable 6G systems, focusing on sustainability and energy efficiency — was emphasized. Dr Vasileios Theodorou from INTRACOM-TELECOM and member of the INSTAR 6G ETF actively participated, sharing experience and knowledge gained from the company’s leadership roles in European projects such as 6G-DALI, as well as SUNRISE-6G, which aims to develop a pan-European 6G federation infrastructure.
